Easy Cinnamon Doughnuts

 

  • 1 ½ cups cake flour (or all-purpose flour)

  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 egg

  • ¼ cup Dewfresh Double Cream Yoghurt

  • ¼ cup Dewfresh Full Cream Milk

  • ¼ cup Dewfresh Salted Butter (melted)

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

 

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp Dewfresh Butter (melted)

 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (or heat oil if frying).

  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

  3. In another bowl, whisk egg, yoghurt, milk, sugar, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.

  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients – don’t overmix.

  5. Spoon into a greased doughnut pan or roll into small balls if frying.

  6. Bake for 12–15 mins until golden OR fry in hot oil until golden brown.

  7. While still warm, brush or dip in melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.
